Congregation Sinai Religious School Teacher Profiles

Kitah Gan (K):

Morah Dara just recently moved here from Ohio to work on her teaching credential . She has a B.A. in Anthropology. She previously taught conservative religious school for 5 years in Ohio. She is very creative and energetic. She will be enriching our curriculum with lots of singing, art and cooking.

 

Kitah Alef & Bet (1st &2nd)

Morah Stephanie is a Psychology major and she previously studied Hebrew for several years. Stephanie taught religious school locally at Congregation Beth Am. Stephanie is very sweet and outgoing. She will be doing a lot of art projects with the kids to make the holidays come alive.  

 

Kitah Gimmel & Dalet (3rd & 4th)

 

Morah Adi grew up in Sunnyvale speaking Hebrew with her Israeli parents. She previously taught Religious School at Congregation Beth Am for. She is studying psychology. She has an ability to relate to all of her students. I’m confident that she will help us to build community.

 

Kitah Hey (5th)

 

Morah Talya was born in Russia but grew up in Israel. She extensive experience teaching in Jewish education including schools in Israel and here in the states. She currently works as a Preschool teacher at CDC Center.  She also taught at Shir Hadash Religious School. She also owned her own company that would provide innovative after school programming to Jewish schools.

 

Kitah Vav (6th)

 

Morah Diana is majoring in Justice Studies, minors in Jewish Studies and has taken extensive Hebrew course work as well. She is also an intern at the SJSU Hillel house where she plans Jewish Learning opportunities for the students. She is very passionate about her Judaism and about Congregation Sinai. She can be found here almost every Shabbat. I know she will be a great role model for the students. 

 

Kitah Zayin (7th)

 

Morah Debbie is returning back to Sinai this year. She has worked here for 5 years as the USY Advisor, Religious School teacher, Bnai Mitzvah tutor and the Ima and me group leader.  She has an adorable son named Jaren who is 1 years old. She studied Comparative Religion at San Jose State University. She has a wonderful relationship with the teens of Sinai community and she will help us to build community within our Religious School as well.
