Welcome! Do you enjoy using your culinary skills and learning new ones? Do you enjoy chatting with friends and meeting new ones, while having fun and supporting our Jewish community at the same time? Then you will enjoy being a volunteer for the B'teavon Committee!
"B'teavon" is Hebrew like the French "Bon Appetit" for "Enjoy your meal". Our B'teavon Committee plans and prepares monthly Friday night Shabbat dinners for up to 100 Congregation Sinai members and friends.
Learn how to prepare new recipes, or contribute some of your own. We have many tasks for those with all levels of experience, from washing and chopping fresh herbs and vegetables to sautéing or baking, preparing an entire dish or being a part of a team effort.
When the whole process is complete, we all feel very satisfied that we have created a welcoming home-away-from-home for family and friends to share Shabbat together and enjoy tasty comfort foods. Here are some of the favorite recipes we cooked this year.
To get involved, email the B'teavon Committee chairperson at [email protected]. We look forward to getting to know you better!
