On Sunday, April 23, 2023, at 8 am, we will meet at LifeMove's Villa family shelter, where our students will serve breakfast and interact with the children residing at the shelter. The children are primarily between nursery school to elementary school age. We will bring games, stories, and activities (e.g. a craft). A liaison from LifeMoves will speak with our students about homelessness and how LifeMoves helps.
The Mission of our 7th Grade B’nei Mitzvah Program is for students to learn what it means to be an adult in the Jewish community through study, hands-on activities, family projects, and multi-generational interactions. Students will learn about key Jewish values, mitzvot, and rituals. Monthly activities will explore Jewish approaches to tzedakah, homelessness, hunger, the environment, as well as ritual themes like kashrut and tzitzit.
