Akiva Goldwasser Bar Mitzvah

  • Congregation Sinai 1532 Willowbrae Avenue San Jose, CA, 95125 United States (map)

Hello, my name is Akiva Goldwasser and I am an 8 th grader at Hillbrook School in Los Gatos. I spend a lot of time on the tennis courts and I enjoy playing sports in general, watching tv with my cat, biking, and hanging out with my friends. I am excited about finally reaching my bar mitzvah and I want to thank everyone for coming to celebrate my special day!

My parshah is Vaetchanan. In this reading, we read about Moses pleading to God to allow him into Israel, but God refuses. God instead sends Moses to the top of a mountain and tells him to give his knowledge to Joshua. In the rest of this parshah, Moses repeats and reviews the rules and commandments to the generation of Jews that will cross into Israel.

I would like to give thanks to Iris Bendahan for preparing me for my bar mitzvah and Rabbi Berkenwald for helping me with my D’var Torah.

Isy and Michele Goldwasser invite you to join their family as they celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Akiva, at Congregation Sinai. Kiddush luncheon, hosted by Eli and Britt Harari, will follow the service. Please join Akiva and his family for this wonderful simcha. All are encouraged to attend.
