Hello there! I'm Ari Freedman. I'm a Seventh Grader at Steindorf STEAM School, and I've been attending Sinai's religious school since First Grade. I enjoy reading, especially about History and Social Studies, talking with my peers and friends, and watching TV. I also enjoy archery as an activity and enjoy travelling as a hobby. I have been to places like the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Iceland, the Czech Republic, many places in the Caribbean, about half of the states in the US, and soon to be Israel!
I will not lie, I am not only excited to have my Bar Mitzvah on November 20th, but also a little bit nervous. But I know this is a very important moment in my life, so I will be happy to celebrate with my family and friends. My parashah, Va-Yishlach, is about multiple things, including Jacob wrestling with the angel and becoming Israel, Israel reconciling with Esau, and the unfortunate rape of Dinah.
I am very honored to share this special day in my life with my family and friends. Thank you to my teachers here at Sinai, especially Doug Brook and Rabbi Josh Berkenwald, my friends I share religious school with, and my family, all for guiding me through the journey I took to get here.
James Freedman and Stephanie Killgore invite you to join their families as they celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Ari at Congregation Sinai. Kiddush luncheon, hosted by James and Stephanie, will follow the service. Please join Ari and his family for this wonderful simcha. All are encouraged to attend.
