(Cancelled) Congregation Sinai's Second Night Community Service - Now Online!

For many years, Congregation Sinai has hosted a Community Seder on the second night of Passover.

Why should this year be different than all other years?

Just because we are sheltering in place does not mean that we cannot continue to celebrate our freedom. Join Rabbi Berkenwald online for a Seder experience like no other.

This seder is FREE. For security reasons, participants are asked to register online. You will receive an email with information about how to join.

To participate, you will need the following:

  • Candles

  • A Seder Plate with the following 6 items:

  1. Roasted egg

  2. Roasted shank bone

  3. Maror (horseradish)

  4. Charoset (for recipes, click here)

  5. Chazeret (romaine lettuce)

  6. Karpas (parsley, celery, or potato)

  • At least 3 pieces of matzah, covered

  • Bag for hiding the Afikomen

  • Salt water

  • Wine or grape juice

  • A wine glass for each person at the table, plus one for Elijah

  • A bowl and a pitcher filled with water for washing hands.

  • Dinner (you get to choose the menu)

  • Haggadah (Rabbi Berkenwald will be using A Different Night. For a PDF copy, usable only this year, click here.)
