To Dust (2018, 90 min.) is an American Jewish comedy about the ways we mourn and the personal rituals we perform to create life-affirming meaning from our sorrow. The film traces a Hasidic cantor’s journey towards answers to his “out-of-the-box” questions, a quest that brings orthodoxy into contact with modern science. In English with some of the Yiddish we all know.
Starring Geza Rohrig and Matthew Broderick.
