Kever Avot - Visiting the Graves of Family and Community

  • Congregation Sinai 1532 Willowbrae Avenue San Jose, CA, 95125 United States (map)

Each year during the High Holidays, time is taken to remember those members of our family and community who have died, either recently or in years past. Traditionally, visiting the graves of loved ones takes place between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Congregation Sinai, Temple Emanu-El, and Congregations Beth David jointly sponsor these services, which are free and open to the entire community.

There will be three community services:

Sunday, September 6

1:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park , 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose. Led by Rabbi Dana Magat of Temple Emanu-El, at Home of Peace Cemetery in the Chapel of the Roses.

1:00 pm at Los Gatos Memorial Park (Shalom Garden Cemetery), 2255 Los Gatos Almaden Road, Los Gatos. Led by Rabbi Joshua Berkenwald of Congregation Sinai.

1:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park , 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose. Led by Rabbi David Kunin of Congregation Beth David, at Beth David Memorial Garden.
