DESCRIPTION
A champion of women’s rights, Dr. Ilana Kwartin believes many Israeli women suffer in solitude extremely controlling behaviors on the part of their families, a type of abuse not accounted for by the legal system. As an attorney, she has met women who suffered confinement, restrictions and prohibitions that ruined their lives.
In advance of International Women's Day, join Dr. Kwartin to learn about this phenomenon, how it has accelerated during the pandemic, and about Dr. Kwartin’s journey to promoting a law to protect women at risk.
