Hello, my name is Silver Rothstein and I am a 7th grader. I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with friends and family, cooking, and going on bike rides. I’m very excited and grateful to be able to have my Bat Mitzvah and celebrate all together.

My parshah is Emor, where God is telling Moses laws to give to Aaron and his sons, priests, and Israelites on Mount Sinai. Many of the laws are about marriage, animal sacrifices, holidays and rituals, and rules of conduct. 

I would like to thank Iris Bendahan for being my Bat Mitzvah tutor and Rabbi Berkenwald for helping me with my D’var Torah. I would like to give a big thank you to my parents who have always had my back and supported me through this whole process. I’m super excited to celebrate my Bat Mitzvah with everyone and have learned a lot about how I connect with my Jewish heritage along the way.
