Bat Mitzvah of Sonia Feria

Hello, my name is Sonia Feria. I’m in eighth grade, and I enjoy running, baking, reading, and drawing.  I am very excited to celebrate my Bat Mitzvah on June 19th. The Torah portion I will be reading is Chukat. Chukat describes the Israelites traveling through the desert to the Promised Land, and Moses’ struggles with leading the Israelites on this journey while enduring the loss of his siblings Aaron and Miriam. 

I am so thankful to spend this special day with my family, friends, and members of Congregation Sinai both in person and virtually on Zoom. I am very grateful to Doug Brook, Rabbi Berkenwald, and my religious school teachers who have prepared me for becoming a Bat Mitzvah. I hope you can join me on my special day!

Sinai is holding limited in-person outdoor Shabbat services in compliance with the policy written by the Sinai Covid Health & Safety Committee and following all rules of Santa Clara County and the State of California. Every member of the household who is planning to attend, including children, must sign up in advance and agree to wear a mask at all times and have their temperature checked at the entrance.
