The Siddur: History, Beliefs, and Philosophies

The Siddur (Prayer Book) has articulated the collective yearnings of the Jewish people for more than two thousand years. The prayers it contains express the creativity, beliefs, and even politics of their authors and compilers. Participants in this online class will use the Siddur as a primary text to study the diverse history, beliefs, and philosophies of Judaism. Taught by Rabbi Josh Berkenwald.
